Initiatives and Organizations

Hammer Software is part of the Coding Club initiative for the Hamilton Wentworth Public and Catholic School Boards, through the Innovation and Technology Committee with the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce. As part of this, Hammer Software founder Daniel Lynes volunteers to coach grade seven (7) and eight (8) students on programming computers.

If we are truly to become an information-based society, we need to get our youth started as early as possible on learning how to program computers. It has been predicted that as many as eight (8) in ten (10) jobs in the future will contain some element of software development. Through this initiative, Hammer Software hopes to help Hamilton and the area to be at the forefront of that stage in Canada.
